Charmed Cards & Crafts May '18 Kit Project Instructions

Here are project examples using our May'18 Kit, which is based on Graphic 45's beautiful "Sun Kissed" collection.

All projects were created by Karen Mortensen using one of the kits. You can see the projects via the pictures below.

Along with the 12x12" layout and album, I managed to get three easy to make cards out of the kit as well! Talk about good value for money! I My cards all use the reverse side of "Sand Dollar as the base.

Sun Kissed Card 1

Cut a piece of cardstock into a card sized 7.25" (h) x 5.5" (w)

Cut a piece of "Sand Dollar" into size 5" x 7.3". Adhere to front.

Cut out the "You & Me By The Sea" image from "Kids at Play". I don't want the "You & Me" to show, so wrap a piece of blue doily around each top corner as shown to hide them.

Mount on foam pads then adhere on a 4.5" x 5.5" piece of "Under the Sea" (reverse side). Mount this on foam tape too then adhere to front of card.

Wrap a piece of twine around the bottom of the card.

Cut out the small seated child and two starfish plus a few small flowers from "Splish Splash". Arrange around the bottom and side along with flowers from the embellishment pack, and the wooden coral. I had a few tiny shells of my own that I pop on there too.  Any small shell would look great there if you have some.

Add the wooden wheel at the top of the card as shown, and top with a mermaid resin.

Sun Kissed Card 2

I used one of the extra bits of the Vanilla cardstock that I cut off when I made the pages for the album (see here); so my card measure 6" x 5".

Cut a piece of "Sand Dollar" into size 5.8" x 4.8" and attach to the front of the card (using the reverse design here).  Cut out the "Sun kissed" piece from "Kids at Play", and mount on foam pads then attach to the front as depicted.

Add two pieces of twice around the bottom of the card, taking it slightly to the back.

Add flowers as depicted, I also included a couple of flowers cut from "Splish Splash). Add a starfish cut from "Splish Splash" and one of the wooden starfish from the embellishment pack.

Finish by adding 24 of the pearls to the top of the card.

Sun Kissed Card 3

Here I used the second leftover piece of Vanilla cardstock, from when I made the album (see here). This piece measures 6" x 4.5". I inked edges with blue ink (optional)

I am using leftovers here and joining them in the middle. I used a piece of "under the Sea" measuring 2.5" (height) x 4.4" (width) and a piece of "Sand Dollar" measuring 3" (height) x 4.4" (width). Attach both pieces to card. Don't worry about a gap in the middle.

Adhere a piece of the coral ribbon over the joint. Adhere a border from "Kids at play" on top of that showing a little of the ribbon as below.

Cut out images from "Splish Splash" and mount figures on foamtape.  Only mount the top of the middle child on foam pads as the fence will sit on top. Add a couple of cut out flowers to the first girl's outstretched hand, also on foam tape.

Adhere the wooden picket fence as shown

Adhere the wooden shell on the top at depicted, and top with an orange mermaid resin.

Tie a little bow with the coral ribbon and adhere to the card.
