I wonder how long we will all continue to write 2005 in our cheque books, it always takes a while to get accustomed to a new year This is an exciting year for us here at Charmed Cards & Crafts as it will be our second year of trading, we hope to bring you lots of new stash to help you create lovely cards and wonderful lush layouts. Scrapbooking. Are you a card maker who have not yet heard of scrapbooking? If so I urge you to have a go at creating your first layout. Scrapbooking has evolved amazingly and is now a hugely popular way of preserving your precious photographs. No longer is the family album an uninspiring album with photographs in regimented lines, scrapbooking takes it to a whole new level.  Background paper emphasises the mood and sentiments in each photograph, whilst embellishments enhance and compliment the picture. Journaling replaces the usual little line of text below each photograph and tells the story behind the picture. I gave a scrapbook as a present this Christmas dedicated to the life of the recipient; she cried as she was looking through the album and proclaimed it the best present she had ever been given. Thus is the power of the scrapbook, not only a fantastic gift and keepsake but amazingly addictive to make.
