“I love these beautiful Prima chipboards, they are perfect embellishment to any crafty project but if you explore a little further with them you can make them into the main element of your card and in this case form the base itself.”

1.       Select your desired chipboard piece. Now make a card base in the correct size for the chipboard to fit on the bottom (see photo) I have used Spellbinders Nestablities die-cuts to create my card but you could use whatever you own or even just cut a square card.

2.       Decorate your card base with layers of the patterned paper.

3.       Now fix the chipboard piece to the bottom with the addition of your chosen sentiment – I have chosen a rub-on from my own stash.

4.       Make it bloom with lots of Prima flowers, Pearls, Liquid Pearls, Iced Petal Pin, and Marianne Creatable -die-cut leaves.

5.       Finish with a stunning Vintage Trinket Metal Charm.

Here is another card to show of the beautiful Prima Meadow Lark papers and chipboards, if you don’t have all the other bits and bobs that I used don’t worry – it’s purely to inspire and we have many alternatives in-store that do just the same kind of thing.

1. Create a side-fold card and cover with your choice of prima paper – sandwich a decorative edging strip along the spine between the card base and the paper.

2, Add a window scene with paper layered behind it I used I die cut window but us crafters are the kings and queens of improvisation right?

3. In the foreground I added one of our digital downloads, coloured with Copic markers and carefully cut out and popped a Prima Petal Pin into her arm – I think it looks like a cute bouquet of flowers.

4. Add a sentiment. I have used two of the meadow Lark Chipboard pieces layered up together.

5. The flowers are prima papers cut with Spellbinders flower dies (Bitty Blossoms), they begin as a spiral and all you have to do is roll them up from the outside inwards then fold over the petals – its rather like quilling. Finish off with pearls popped into the centres of the flowers and there you have it!

Card 3

Designed by Louise Brigden

Products used:

1.       Make a small tent-fold card base to a size which will accommodate the elements you wish to add. TIP: try arranging your elements before cutting the card to size. You can make your card the same shape as mine by cutting a partial circle with a cutting compass on the front or if you have a QuicKutz Silhouette you can cut one out using one of their card templates as quick at a flash!

2.       Cover with your choice of prima papers and simply decorate as shown in the photograph with prima chipboards and flowers.
