I’m a 34 year old mum of two; Michael & Holly. By day I work as a teaching assistant but the moment I have time to spare I ditch the work clothes, put on my scruffy old jeans and craft ‘til my heart’s content.

I like to have a go at all kinds of crafts, I love to alter items and make unusual gifts but my number one craft has to be card making. I used to sell all my cards but now I get more pleasure from designing original cards, to enter into online challenges, showcase on my blog and submit into magazines but most of all I love to design cards for Charmed Cards & Crafts. The products are so lovely to work with, I have to confess to being a bit of a Basic Grey addict, I just can’t get enough!

I am a 41 year Mum of three and have been married to Darren for 18 years. My hubbie and three children, Abi 15yrs, Jake 12yrs and Cam 9 yrs together with Sam our Border Collie, are my constant source of creative inspiration.

I have been crafting for many years now and started off as a card maker.  A friend and myself actually sold some in a couple of our local shops which then spurred me on to do more craft things.  I particularly enjoy scrapbooking, ATC’s, CJ’s, mini books and enjoy decorating boxes, pots, etc.  I will have a go at anything really!  I especially love stamping, doodling, using my sewing machine on paper, using chipboard, oooh I love so much………!

I am very excited to be part of Charmed Cards and Crafts Design Team.  I will do my very best to showcase the wonderful products Karen stocks, in the hope that some of you will at least gain some inspiration in this, the most wonderful of hobbies.  I like nothing more than to have a quiet house (rare mind you!) where I can be inspired with paper, brads, ribbon, chipboard, glittery bits, etc…., and generally make a wonderful happy creative mess!  Well, you can’t craft without making a mess, can you…..hehe…..at least I can’t ;-) ………xx

I live with my husband and soul mate Nigel and we share our home with our feline family –  one normal cat and a pair of very naughty Bengals. 

I discovered scrapping in 2003, almost by accident, and to say it was a life changing experience is no understatement. Scrapping is my daily therapy and relaxation, my artistic and creative outlet, my escape from the daily grind. It has opened so many doors for me, has introduced me to so many new friends and is a source of great pleasure.

I had always kept ‘traditional’ sugar paper scrapbooks ever since I was a young child, my photo albums have always been annotated and I have always kept every little bit of memorabilia. I have always loved photography and enjoyed art, though I was never very good at either, so scrapping was a natural hobby for me to embrace. 

I like to try and scrap every aspect of my life, from the good, the sad, the funny, the everyday and the special. Many of my albums feature the cats and I enjoy trying to come up with quirky ideas for cat pages. I enjoy making travel albums and scrapping pictures of my god-daughter’s little girl Emily, and am looking forward to making albums for the new baby, on its way in 2008. I also have quite a serious mini book addiction which is starting to take over space in our home.  I am thrilled to have been invited to be a member of the Charmed Cards and Crafts design team and look forward to sharing my work with you.

I am the owner of Charmed Cards & Crafts.  Having always been a crafter it seemed a natural progression to set myself up literally surrounded by stash

I am a mum too and love crafting with my two girls, Aimee, 11, and Amber, 9 who already take a very keen interest (perhaps you will see them on the design team in due course!!).

I used to be an avid knitter and also loved crochet, needlework and sewing. The newer trends for altering and scrapbooking have now taken my fancy, as well as traditional greeting cards which I have been creating for many years. I hope the work you see featured on our site will bring inspiration. xxx
