Christmas Stocking and Snowman Cards

by Karen Mortensen

Two cute little cards to make for Christmas. Or put them on your mantelpiece, they make great little ornaments too.

Snowman

I have made a snowman template for you to use (right click on image, choose save as and save to disk):

Insert your snowman template into a Word document positioning it right at the bottom of the page. Print. You now have this:

Fold your printed paper at the top of the hat, so you have two layers, and cut it out. This is what you have now:

Fold your snowman at the top and you can see how easy he stands:

Now decorate him. I added Bo Bunny Elf Magic Snowflakes paper on the hat, and the same paper inside. Brad for nose, gems for eyes and hands. Stickles on the buttons, and Polar White for snow. A little fibre around the neck completes this gentleman's ensemble :)

Easy little chap, cute as a button, and bound to bring Christmas cheer wherever you send him.

Stocking

We are doing exactly the same with this one as we did with the snowman above. So here is your template. It is not to scale so make it whatever size you want:

I have made another template with additional patches if you need them:

You can print it on directly but I decided to print out a template and then draw around it this time.

Fold paper at the top of the stocking and cut out through the double layer:

Decorate it:

I cut a long patch for the front and left it unstuck at the front to act as a pocket:

and used the two patches on the template inside:

I have create the "deck the halls" sentiment for you to use here (both plain and red) - right-click then save as:

I used:

K&Co paper and die-cuts (to tuck inside the front pocket)

Pearls

Ink for the edges

We hope you enjoyed the class.
