Cut a piece of cardstock into size 6.25" x 5.25". On the longest side score at points 0.75" - 2.25" - 3" - 4.5"

At the top and bottom score a line 0.75" wide:

You now have this:

Cut out a rectangle as shown below, leaving a 0.25" inch margin all around; this is our window that will show the candles. Cut out the two corners as shown in blue below:

Now cut the top and bottom score lines up to the horizontal folds, see picture below for guidance. Cut the lines a little inwards above and below the window, again see picture below for guidance.

Cut a piece of acetate 1.5" x 5.75". Put double-sided tape around the rectangle. I have shown you the acetate laying next to the taped window below.

Stick the acetate on the window, make sure you do it on the reverse, which is going to be the inside of our box. Put double-sided tape on the end flap as shown:

Fold and close the box, sticking it down on the side. Practise doing it before placing on the sticky tape to ensure you know how it goes.

Stick down on end and insert your candles. I only had the plain white candles in the house but will replace them with scented candles when I get some in. They do packs of really cheap scented candles in IKEA.

Now for the card. Cut a piece of cardstock into size 11.25" x 4.8".

Score the card on the long length at 5.25" and 6". Fold along the score lines.

Decorate the front of your card.

You can have the candles either side inside. Here I have put it against the spine of the card. Put some double-sided tape on the spine and at the bottom of the box, then stick it down.
