Louise Brigden

Designer Profile

I’m a 34 year old mum of two; Michael & Holly. By day I work as a teaching assistant but the moment I have time to spare I ditch the work clothes, put on my scruffy old jeans and craft ‘til my heart’s content.

I like to have a go at all kinds of crafts, I love to alter items and make unusual gifts but my number one craft has to be card making. I used to sell all my cards but now I get more pleasure from designing original cards, to enter into online challenges, showcase on my blog and submit into magazines but most of all I love to design cards for Charmed Cards & Crafts. The products are so lovely to work with, I have to confess to being a bit of a Basic Grey addict, I just can’t get enough!

I am a 41 year Mum of three and have been married to Darren for 18 years. My hubbie and three children, Abi 15yrs, Jake 12yrs and Cam 9 yrs together with Sam our Border Collie, are my constant source of creative inspiration.

I have been crafting for many years now and started off as a card maker. A friend and myself actually sold some in a couple of our local shops which then spurred me on to do more craft things. I particularly enjoy scrapbooking, ATC’s, CJ’s, mini books and enjoy decorating boxes, pots, etc. I will have a go at anything really! I especially love stamping, doodling, using my sewing machine on paper, using chipboard, oooh I love so much………!

I am very excited to be part of Charmed Cards and Crafts Design Team. I will do my very best to showcase the wonderful products Karen stocks, in the hope that some of you will at least gain some inspiration in this, the most wonderful of hobbies. I like nothing more than to have a quiet house (rare mind you!) where I can be inspired with paper, brads, ribbon, chipboard, glittery bits, etc…., and generally make a wonderful happy creative mess! Well, you can’t craft without making a mess, can you…..hehe…..at least I can’t ;-) ………xx

I live with my husband and soul mate Nigel and we share our home with our feline family – one normal cat and a pair of very naughty Bengals.

I discovered scrapping in 2003, almost by accident, and to say it was a life changing experience is no understatement. Scrapping is my daily therapy and relaxation, my artistic and creative outlet, my escape from the daily grind. It has opened so many doors for me, has introduced me to so many new friends and is a source of great pleasure.

I had always kept ‘traditional’ sugar paper scrapbooks ever since I was a young child, my photo albums have always been annotated and I have always kept every little bit of memorabilia. I have always loved photography and enjoyed art, though I was never very good at either, so scrapping was a natural hobby for me to embrace.

I like to try and scrap every aspect of my life, from the good, the sad, the funny, the everyday and the special. Many of my albums feature the cats and I enjoy trying to come up with quirky ideas for cat pages. I enjoy making travel albums and scrapping pictures of my god-daughter’s little girl Emily, and am looking forward to making albums for the new baby, on its way in 2008. I also have quite a serious mini book addiction which is starting to take over space in our home. I am thrilled to have been invited to be a member of the Charmed Cards and Crafts design team and look forward to sharing my work with you.

Hi! My name is Tracie and I am a 39 year old SAHM to two wonderful boys - Bobs, 13 & J, 11. I've been married to my childhood sweetheart for the past 18 years.

We are an active family who enjoy the great outdoors and when I'm not crafting, I can be found walking on one of the many beaches which surround our home. My guys are certainly active and love to indulge in extreme sports which means I am never short of photo opportunities.

I've always had a passion for creating things and discovered Scrapbooking in August 2005 - little did I know then that I would become a 12 x12 scrap addict!

I am honoured to have been invited to serve on the Charmed Cards and Crafts Design Team and thank Karen for giving me the opportunity to share my work with you.

Maddy Hill

I am 40 years YOUNG ! I have two daughters . I am a carer for one of my daughters who has Aspergers Syndrome. I have a wonderful boyfriend , Calvin who is also a crafter ( very handy !!!)

I started crafting about 15 years ago, mainly making pictures for my eldest daughter in air dry clay. I then went onto Fimo and won a competition. From there I became a Fimo and sculpey demonstrator and also at that time contributed to some well known craft magazines - I loved it as I could dabble in allsorts of crafts from Fimo to silk painting . I also was an artist in residence at schools and collages .However I stopped for a number of years to be a carer for my youngest daughter.

I started getting back into crafts about a year and half ago - using it as therapy from cancer treatment and trying to regain the skills that I lost. I'm okay now but still suffer the effects of it .I have recently been heavily into paper crafting and I love all the wonderful papers and knick knacks that match them !
I am also the co- founder of The Sticky Fixers Craft club in Leeds.

I was thrilled when Karen asked me to become part of her very talented design team on Charmed Cards & Crafts and I do hope my design team projects give you some inspiration !

I am the owner of Charmed Cards & Crafts. Having always been a crafter it seemed a natural progression to set myself up literally surrounded by stash

I am a mum too and love crafting with my two girls, Aimee, 11, and Amber, who already take a very keen interest (perhaps you will see them on the design team in due course!!).

I used to be an avid knitter and also loved crochet, needlework and sewing. The newer trends for altering and scrapbooking have now taken my fancy, as well as traditional greeting cards which I have been creating for many years. I hope the work you see featured on our site will bring inspiration. xxx
